It’s safe to say that aside from The Dark Knight, The Avengers is the BEST. SUPERHERO. MOVIE. EVER. Joss Whedon (Firefly, Buffy The Vampire Slayer) did a terrific job with the screenplay. It was feared that amount of characters in the movie would cause it to be overwhelming and crowded, but it never once felt like that. The characters were well fleshed out, and worked together & played off each other, often times in comedic fashion, to bring the story to an amazing and raucous climax.

If this is how it’s gonna start, I can’t wait to see what’s in store the for the rest of the summer blockbusters (Dark Knight, I’m looking at you).
